LOS ANGELES — Southern California residents are finally getting relief after an unusually hot and humid stretch, with temperatures expected to fall closer to or below seasonal averages during the coming week.
The National Weather Service forecast cooler conditions across much of the region beginning Monday, following a week in which moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Iselle pushed humidity unusually high.

The recent weather has been particularly uncomfortable for Los Angeles residents accustomed to the region's generally dry summer conditions.
